# Cred Score

An onchain credit score for any address, from 300 to 1,000, powered by Cred Protocol. On LCC it prices whether a staker will fund a capital call.

Any address can be scored on 3Jane with a Cred Score: an onchain credit score from [Cred Protocol](https://credprotocol.com), rated from 300 to 1,000. On LCC the score measures what a promise depends on, the likelihood that an address delivers capital when it is called.

Score-based terms are rolling out. A Cred Score does not yet change a position's promise fee, promise limit or $JANE emissions, and LCC promises do not yet count toward the score.
{% endhint %}

### The score

* Cred reads an address's public onchain history, including lending, repayments, liquidations, LP positions, staking and wallet age, and scores it from 300 to 1,000 with a report.
* The score uses onchain data only. There is no KYC, document upload or sign-up.
* Cred's model weighs six factors: Borrowing History, Wallet Composition, Wallet Health, Interactions, Trust and New Credit. Wallet size is not a direct input. See [Cred's documentation](https://docs.credprotocol.com/how-it-works).
* Each score falls in one of five bands:

| Band      | Score        |
| --------- | ------------ |
| Low       | 300 to 639   |
| Fair      | 640 to 749   |
| Good      | 750 to 839   |
| Very Good | 840 to 919   |
| Excellent | 920 to 1,000 |

### Why LCC uses a credit score

* Credit scores have been used to price whether a borrower will repay a loan, in traditional finance and in DeFi. They apply equally to any undercollateralized obligation, including whether an address will provide capital it has promised.
* An LCC promise is undercollateralized. At launch terms, margin is 7.5% of the promise, and a staker can fail to fund a call.
* A failure to fund is a real risk, but it is not catastrophic for the protocol the way a borrower default is. No principal has been lent to the staker: their margin is slashed into the [backstop auction](/levered-callable-capital-lcc/mechanism/backstop-bidders.md), where a bidder funds the missed call. LCC sits between overcollateralized and uncollateralized lending.
* Making a promise of 13.33x posted margin and funding the call when it comes is a direct onchain record of creditworthiness.
* Onchain credit scores have existed for years without a DeFi protocol that could integrate them at scale and let users earn yield from a higher score. LCC applies the score to a permissionless product open to any address.

### Score-based terms

* 3Jane is integrating with Cred so that promises and funded capital calls count toward an address's Cred Score.
* A higher score on 3Jane can include:
  * Up to 5x higher promise APY
  * Higher promise leverage
  * Boosted $JANE emissions
* Funding capital calls raises the score, and a higher score earns better terms.

Until score-based terms are live, every address stakes on the same terms: see [Facility Parameters](/levered-callable-capital-lcc/parameters.md) and the [backing requirement](/levered-callable-capital-lcc/mechanism/stakers.md#backing-requirement).

### Checking a score

* The LCC page shows the connected address's Cred Score, and any address or ENS name can be checked from the same card.
* A check returns the score with a report: the band, the address's percentile standing among crypto wallets, the factors behind the score and guidance on improving it.
* The report lists **Capital Call History** first, a 3Jane factor that stays unrated until LCC call outcomes count toward the score.
* The stakers table on the LCC page shows each staker's Cred Score next to their promise, margin, backing (tracked DeFi assets) and coverage.
* A connected address can share its own score. The share link shows the score and band and carries no wallet data.
